The time that I was waiting for my PSLE results was the most exciting thing that happened to me while I was in my hometown, Philippines. So, my parents were the one who took care of it. I was having my early holiday in the Philippines while waiting for the results to be released.
The day had come, 21st December 2009. While I was in the Philippines waiting for a phone call, I kept on praying. I was so eager to know my score, but I was so nervous, and excited as well. When I was sitting beside the telephone, the phone rang. It was my mother! I wonder what would she say. Her suspense voice made me sweat a lot. I could not overcome my anxiety to hear the good or bad news. " Your score is 204." She blurted out suddenly.
I was so shocked with it and did not expect that low. So, I was upset, but still happy as at least I made it into the express course. That gave me a smile. Even though I did not reach my expectations, I still muttered a prayer of thanks for making it into the express course. Tears of sadness or rather tears of joy rolled down my cheeks.
Since then, I wondered what school would I be in. And so, I waited for another phone call to know what school accepted me. I was again eager to hear it. Yio Chu Kang Secondary School was the one that accepted me. Then, after hearing what school, I began to do a research about YCKSS. I found good things on the website, and started to like the school. I like the it even more when I made good friends after few days later.
